As part of Art8 Newquay Arts Festival, figurative painter Nicholas Charles Williams will be showing a small selection of sketches and studies at the Watershed in Newquay.
From the 2nd - 10th June 2012 Cornwall’s rich cultural scene becomes accessible through visual artists, designer makers, crafts persons and other creative outlets.
Come and meet Santa in his Grotto at the Esplanade Hotel on Sunday 9th December 2012 between 12noon and 3pm. There will be presents for the young ones, face painting, girls pamper party, arts and crafts table, kids ice cream factory and use of the extensive indoor and outdoor play areas. Feeling hungry?
Santa arrives near Trenance Cottages at 10am to be greeted by children before he is carried by sleigh into Trenance Cottages. His Grotto will then be open for business from 10am until 4pm Saturday & Sunday.
The Newquay Mens County Gig Championships sees crews from all over Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly descend upon Newquay Harbour to battle it out for the honour of being crowned Mens County Gig Champions
The Crantock Bale Push is a fun event for all ages. The races are run in teams of four pushing a full-sized round bale of straw weighing approximately 420 lbs and measuring 4' 6" in diameter over courses of differing length according to the class of race.
Crews from all over Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly will descend upon Newquay Harbour to battle it out for the honour of being crowned Ladies County Gig Champions.

The South West's biggest rugby tournament will see some of the UK's best 7s team's descend on Newquay Sports Centre on Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July 2012, for a spectacular weekend of sport.
Starting from 10am at Hendra Holiday Park, near Newquay, TR8 4NY the Topless Charity Tour 2012 would like to invite owners of convertible vehicles, of all kinds, to take part in a fun road trip to Lands End whilst raising money for the Clic Sargent Cancer Charity in memory of Harriet Cole from Newquay.
